hey I have one too only shoot 40gr hi velocity mini mags, winchester super x hps.

mine also likes to eat vipers and is the only gun that will do so with any reliability.

the gun is recoil spring operated so the hotter you go the better do not shoot lead or subsonic ammo.

check this page out will help immensely, www.spentbrass.com/pistol/walther/p22/review.php

Have had my P22 for a few months now, have put about 1,000 rounds through it and haven't had a single hiccup. I typically only shoot CCI hyper-velocity rounds and clean it after each use, and this seems to do the trick to keep mine running flawlessly. I love the look and feel of this gun for a .22 plinker. Most importantly, my wife loves this gun so much that she's becoming more willing to try her hand at bigger calibers. Easy 5-star rating from me.

I bought my P22 for Christmas but didn't get it through all the channels and to the range until tonight. My Fiance and I shot 350 rounds through it right out of the box without a single hiccup. I purchased it with the Walther laser which I suggest since it seems high quality. We have Lasermax lasers on the 9mm and .45 but think this one is a tad better. We shot real tight groupings with it with Wal-Mart Federal boxed ammo. Some of the shots were hitting the edge of the bullet hole just made by the previous shot. Totally happy with it and we will be shooting it a ton more than the bigger calibers.

Have the 5 inch version with the factory rail laser. Very dependable and accurate. A good fun gun to take to the range. These guns must be kept clean and lubricated to fire reliably.

Everyone should ahve this as well. When I fired CCI's i had no problem, When I fired Federal Champions it starting jamming after about 60 -75 rounds. When I went back to CCI's, no problems even without a cleaning. I posted an earlier message with a copy of the P-22 bible which shows every flaw and how to fix it on that weapon.

I just bought a box of the Aguila Super Maximum for the P22. Is it okay to shoot this hot stuff often 1750/204?

I have Federal 1280/140 for most target stuff but just wondering.

I had one of these . 13 pounds of trigger pull !!! That IS a fact. Not the approx 3 lbs that it should be. Applying 13 lbs. did definately affect my aim . Massive Disappointment for a Walther.

nice gun, the Wal-mart Federal 550 box is the only ammo I've shot without having a single problem with this gun.
