Awesome Gun a reload round BLEW UP!!! inside my G29 the shell from the ejection rim to the primer got ripped of like a yogurt top and the remaining shell got stuck in the barrel. I field stripped it, used some neddle nose plyers to take out the remaining shell and cleaned it continued to shoot flawlessly but i stoped using the reloads. If it was any other steel framed gun i think it would have cracked the frame, but the polymer obsorbed the shock of the explosion and i walked away with a working gun a burnt knuckle and a sore trigger finger w/a case of the shakes.. If this gun can handle an explosion from a monstorous 10mm round than i can trust it with my life.. in my opinion the 10mm is to powerful to use reloads. I will just stick with factory from now on.

Glocks and hand granades.... (or one in the same) anyway my point; it seems to come up way too often with these pistols for my liking.

ETA: I realize 90% of these issues are from reloaded ammunition or other related failures but you just dont hear about it as often from other manufacturers.

For a long time now I was under the impression that the .45 ACP was the king of the hill when it came to semi-auto handguns. Then I did some research and bought a Glock 29. All I can say is this thing is amazing, powerful, accurate, and very controllable. Do yourself a favor and just friggin' buy one, you will not be sorry. I opted for the sub-compact for carry purposes but I'm sure the G20 is just as awesome. THE KING IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE KING!

Best thing I could have done was to sell my 1911's and get a Glock 29 And 20!

Here is my issue

1. if you go into griz country you will need at least a 44 mag

2. will a 10mm take out everything with ease up to a griz?

3. I hear the chamber on a g29 us unsuported - why

4. can you interchange 357 and 40 sw barrels with a g29?

5. Will a 40 take out everything up to a griz ?
