From the picture and the dementions on this gun it appears to be the same as the mod 36. The 36 is a great gun for concealment and reliability. 357 SIG has my interest but I'm not convinced that a 124 grain bullets stopping power is going to compair to a 230 grain bullet even at magnum velosities. But the design of the 357 SIG is going to be so reliable due to the necked down cartrige that it's almost a perfect round for small sub compacts. Hummm Delima

Gunpoor, check any good ballistics table and you will see that at the target ranges that you would most likely use a sub-compact weapon for ( < 10 YD), that the Ft-LBS of energy on impact (stopping power) of a 124 grain 357 SIG exceeds that of a 230 grain 45 auto. Hope this resolves your dilemma.

Of course the ballistics muzzle energy is high on a projectile traveling 12 to 1400 ft per sec. But in the case of a 230 grn bullit at 850 ft per sec. the energy transfer is different. The .357's energy is going to transfer more to penitration. The .230 grn is going to transfer and stop sooner. Giving it a wider diameter of shock area. Both have an advantage-just different.
