Here's your answer:

Tanfoglio pistols are manufactured by Fratelli Tanfoglio SpA. company, Italy. Basically, all standart, combat and compact models are all-steel clones of the famous CZ-75 design.

All Tanfoglio Standart and Combat pistols (also known as T95-series) are blowback operated, locked breech semi-auto pistols, that use the Browning Hi-Power style linkless system. All T95 pistols feature DA triggers. The "Standart" models feature slide mounted hammer drop safety/decocker lever (ambidextrous as an option), while "Combat" featured frame mounted ambidextrous safety that allows "cocked and locked" carry mode, as well as internal firing pin block safety. Both "Standart" and "Combat" models feature all-steel design. Both have fixed sights with three dots for increased visibility.

Other than basic models described above, Tanfoglio also manufactured compact models with shortened barrels (down to 92mm) and grips, as well as "Factory Custom" guns for self defence, service carry and competition. The custom features may include extended ambidextrous controls (slide stop lever and safety lever), match triggers and hammers, different compensators and sights.

Tanfoglio pistols are popular defensive and sporting firearms across the Europe. They also are imported into USA by EAA Corp. under the name "Witness".

hey "tigwelder56" does Eaa witness take a CZ clip or are the the Eaa clips easy to find and some what affordable to buy?I am asking because i am thinking about trading my ruger p944 for one of thes maybe

The EAA Witness mags can be purchased from CDNN. At this time, they are selling for about $16 per mag.

I am looking to purchase an eaa witness .40, i currently carry a baby eagle 9mm and love it. Is the eaa .40 a recommened buy? What are the pro's and con's of this weapon?

I recently rec'd my EAA Tanfoglio compact .45 in wonderfinish, after cleaing excess oil I took it to range. Gun performed well .No problems feeding or extraction,Since it has been so unusually cold in SE Florida I will use it as a CCW instead of the Kahr PM9 or Ruger .380 .The other EAA I own is the Tanfoglio 4.25" convertible 22/45 but thats a good range gun.

I just purchased this gun in compact 40 cal 12+1. I got this at the gun show last Sun brand new. I took it to the range and had a few ftf with the bullet ending up vertical in front of the barrel. Now I talked the guy from 475 to 425 with no tax I love the way it shot and felt in my hand but there are a few things that is leading me to believe this is an older model that was never fired. First is it has no acc rail, next it has a different rear sight then the current ones I have seen online with the front sight being fixed. The questions I have for you readers are do the newer mags fit in the model I have, and where can I purchase one. The next question I have is which convertion kit will fit on this gun. EAA's web sight has a number of differnt convertion kits.
