Has anyone else seen the new kimber Solo? A 9mm. The pawn shop I frequent had one. Not for sale yet. Felt/Looked good. Very small, about the size if a Sig 380.

Was told the first one has a 6 shot clip. Soon to offer 8 shot and night sights. I'm very interested.

Crimson has a laser for it. The laser is a laser grip which is a big plus in my book. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pewl1qHG ... re=related

Picky with ammo but otherwise a great lil shooter. Put my first 200 down the pipe this w/e. Comes with a 6 round mag and very nice contrast sights. Looking forward to release of extended capacity mag or any mag for that matter.

Heading back to the range tomorrow with some PMC target and some Hornady defense rounds. See what it likes to eat.

Well another NG on the PMC and only slightly better with the Hornady. However, as the recommendations state.....IT LOVES Federal Hydroshok 124 gr. Ate it all without a burp. Guess, as Kimber states. That's the ammo for this gun, well that and prob anything else in 124 gr+. Still, I had to experiment right?

Just finished shooting the Kimber Solo (KS) at the range. A rental and was given 115 gr ammo. almost every round was FTE or FFFeed. Had at least 1 jam in each magazine of ammo (usualy more). I then figured out that they should have given me the 147gr, which they did (at no charge, since they made the mistake of giving the 115 gr). Still had at least one of the above problems/magazine load. This is not up to the usual Kimber quality. It's worse than my DB380, which is now very good with Hornady FTX ammo. I was hoping it was better, and would have bought one, if not for the problems I described. Perhaps v2.0 will be better.

I have had ZERO issues since I switched over to the ammo recommended on the Kimber link. Gun has been flawless and I LOVE it and carry it just about every day in a pocket holster.
