The site is getting crazy!

What is going on here, up untill a couple weeks ago this site was an excellent place to get information. But now there are several people trashing it! Some have even sucked a couple of us regulars into the mayham.

On a side note I'm very glad to hear that we are getting moderators.

Now maybe some of this mayham can be eliminated. And some posts can be moved into a more fitting catagory.

I mentioned the people who seem to be the most active with the right mind set. If I missed someone I apologize it either slipped my mind or well you get the idea.

I'm glad to see Active fan is working to make this the best place to come and discuss firearms and related material. And also just to shoot the shit with people of like mind!

ricknew, I agree that this is still the best forum I've been a part of. And Yes, lately we've gotten a little out of sorts. Activefan is getting together a few moderators to help monitor some of the comments you're talking about.

We've ALL been guilty of losing it for a minute, myself included. We've got to ignore the ignorant and keep it on topic. Like one of the wise men said recently, we've got "chatter" and "feedback" for the other stuff.

As for the obsceneties, we're all grown here.(hopefully). and check out the description under"chatter". ...."shoot the shit" is written there. So, at least to me, that's not too big a deal. I'm talking about serious name calling and comments about a person's background. We need to respect everyone. Talk to people the way you want to be spoken to...

Let me be the first to apologize for the hi point forum. It's got way out of hand. Fist I was against all the nonsense but instead of letting it go I found myself joining in. I just hope we can all learn from this little set back and not let it happen again.

ricknew, I assume you were using your this gun is junk posts to make a point, allthough that may not have been the best way to go about it; I believe you have gotten your point across loud and clear. We all just need to remember not to be a part of the problem but of the solution. And in the future I personally will not succomb to some jackass trying to rile people up.

Rick, Belt , both good points. The main thing we have to remember is that noone controls what comes out of our mouths but ourselves. We all know what opinions are like, I'm sure we'll all agree on that. If everybody adopts the attitude that they're the bigger person, the idiots will soon get bored with us not responding to their ignorance and they'll go elsewhere.

I should change my tag phrase to "IGNORE THE IGNORANCE!!!"

rick, all the stuff that happened in the C-9 post was all in fun, it just ended up there some how, it had nothing to do with the gun, thats just where the conversation took place. I'll admit we should have taken it to the chatter section but everyone was having a good time and its nice to just bullshit about things once and awhile. We are all adults and I have no problem with any language used, foul language directed at others is a different story, but everyone should be able to be themselves and speak how they want. You could of got your point across the same way by simply asking everyone to continue under Chatter, strict gun review is boring, conversations should be allowed to take place in any post if it has some relevance to guns or ammo etc just cause it makes it interesting and more friendly. I apologize for taking part in clogging up your C-9 post with way off topic subjects. To reply to the "guns & porn" comment, that is not offensive, it had relevance to the conversation that was going on, the conversation was just in the wrong place, maybe if terrorists had less guns and more porn they'd have something other to do than come up with ways to kill us! Sorry for the "cheap joke" rick but I had to, and this is the proper place to do it.

Also rick I just got done reading more of your posts, why do you keep bringing up its a poor mans gun and thats why people are picking on it, also in your message to me you mentioned rich white kids, your waaaaay off base and your bringing things in that have absolutely nothing to do with what went on. Stop looking so deep, if someone feels its a piece of shit say it, if you love it say it, your the only one who brought up social status and race and where the hell you picked that up from I don't know but drop it cause it has nothing to do with anything said.

rick, you've got some chip on your shoulder, I removed all my posts in the C-9 with respect to you, my comment made, again, was inside that conversation and just for a laugh. Don't think I haven't seen your post about "glock snobs", I mean you have some type of anger towards people for some reason and defend your gun like its your daughter, I love Glocks, do you think I get angry at someone who honestly hates the gun? Who cares thats life! No one said it was funny to clog up your favorite guns post, like I said, it just ended up there I believe cause someone made a funny joke about the C-9 on a Glock post. And again you bring up the social status issue, rick your not being fair and taking personal hardship out on people who never brought up the issue, buddy I WORK HARD for everything I have and I'M NOT RICH! I'm willing to bet that goes for the most of us, but the only one who somehow links this to the conversation we've all been having is you; your off subject rick. Now most of us apologized one way or another for clogging your post, I'd call that pretty respectful if you ask me, but as beltbuckle said I too feel your way over sensitive and need to get over this meaningless issue when we all have real problems in life that our energy would be better spent, agree?
