Another Outrageous Attack on Gun Owners Privacy!!!

Postby tigwelder56 » Fri Jun 08, 2007 6:49 pm

I just received information about some new legislation that is simply BAD news for American citizens! Take a look at the new HR 984, the Executive Branch Reform Act of 2007, introduced by Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) and Tom Davis (R-Va) and is on the move in the US Congress. If this reform passes it requires that any time a citizen (ie., Gun Owners) contacts anyone in the Executive Branch of government by phone, fax, mail, or email, about anything their name and all personal information be registered on a government computer system. So it doesn't matter if you complain about pot holes or handguns, your name is going to be posted on a list for all the world to see. The potential for those lists of names to be used for sinister purposes is huge. Your name will be available to every gun hating politician, anti gun groups, criminals looking to steal your guns and any one else that takes an exception to what your views on everything including the Second Amendment. This is another attempt at the gun hating politicians to register gun owners! This really sucks. They're hiding the true uses of this bill by loading it up with so much bullshit that it's difficult to even understand it. This isn't just an attack on our Second Amendment, it's a big attack on the First Amendment. At the same time they're going to do their best to scare you into keeping quiet. Remember back to the last big election? The same group of anti gun politicians were able to get a law passed that banned many free speech rights during election times. They were able to shut up the NRA - ILA right when they were needed most. The anti gun libs knew that if they weren't able to shut us up they'd really get beaten up in the polls and the election. And they were able to do it! Bush signed the bill and the Supreme Court supported it. So now you know they'll be at it again and by introducing HR 984 they're going to post your name across the Internet for anything you write your Congressman or Senator about. This is a BAD, BAD piece of legislation and you need to get involved and let those very people know that you're not going to put up with it. You also need to support the NRA and the GOA, provide them with the funds they're going to need to fight this attack on America. Enough is enough, we have to take our country back from those losers that are trying their best to re-write the US Constitution! Fight back and let them know this won't work in our USA!!

I just thought I'd let you know, after getting deeper into the bill, if you attempt to contact your government representative and purposely try to conceal your identity to prevent your name from being properly posted on their list, you can be fined up to $50,000.00 and anything else they feel is warranted depending on the nature of the concealment! This is sounding more and more like a government for the government by the government. The citizens will be singled out for making any comment to the government, good or bad. What's this group going to pull next? I shudder to think...
