Now to get a IWB holster for whichever gun I feel I want to carry soon as I get the funds. Still need to wait a couple weeks for that, dang it. I think I am going to go with the crossbreed ones, I hear they are really comfy. Get one for both my Taurus PT111 and my Sigma 40 (with trigger improvement its not a bad gun) and rotate them every week or so, or something like that. Hopefully the Sigma won't feel too bulky and heavy.



Then I will have to figure out how to carry a large frame revolver. Maybe get a trench coat, hahaha.

I got a Fobus type paddle holster, 360* adjustable, for my Taurus PT745PRO. Slip on/off, lightweight and rides high. $30. delivered.



I can't use a IWB. Inside my waistband is full of belly. LOL

Hahaha, I can't say I have that problem, I am on the thin side. I was actually thinking thin may be a problem for concealing, especially in warm weather. but I suppose that would be a problem for anyone.

Hey, BrianB.....The pot finally boiled! Good for you....If it ever cools off in Texas, (does it ever ???) I carry my Smith 329PD (.44 mag.) in a shoulder rig when it is "jacket" weather. The 329 is an "N" frame with a 4" barrel and rides quite well....



Come to think of it, Colorado has jacket weather pretty much about 8 months a year...

Haha, Jacket weather in Texas is not nearly so long. There is maybe two months where you could wear a jacket all day and two to four months where you could wear a jacket in the morning but would have to remove it for the rest of the day. Sucks riding to work at 5am having to bundle up in 40 degree weather then have to wear all that damn stuff home in the afternoon when its 85 or even 90. So then the rest of the year you don't need, and really could not, wear a jacket.



I have thought about getting a shoulder rig though for those particular months. That would be about the only time I could carry a large revolver. Been looking for a vertical style but have not found one I really love much just yet and with as much as those things cost I would like to know its the right one for me before buying it. Another problem is that I am planning on using it for a gun I don't have yet. I plan on trading my Taurus 627 in for a S&W 686 SSR in a couple weeks from now.



If you have any good suggestions for a nice vertical shoulder rig, preferably with the belt tie downs and speedloader pouches, let me know.



I already plan on getting a couple of crossbreed holsters, one for my Taurus Mill Pro and the other for my SW40VE. Those would be fine year round so a I would not have to get a shoulder rig at all if I can't find one.



Otherwise, I been thinking about getting a belt holster for the 686, though it would not be a concealed type, just one I could use to carry it if going hunting or in a zombie attack. Thinking about this one or something like it.

If you decide on the verticle shoulder rig, Uncle Mikes makes a really nice one set up with a speedloader pouch on the opposite side...I really like mine! (the "sidekick" model). It has a crapload of ajustability for comfort, belt tie-downs on both sides, is well constructed and is great protection for the Smith....Hmmm, no I am not affiliated with Unc. Mikes...

Are you sure? No, just kidding, I appreciate the advice. Looking at their website, I am not sure exactly which model would be the best fit, seems like #2 I believe. Kind of like the Pro-pak as well but it seems that is only for the right handed crowd, oh well. I will probably give them a call and see. Thanks neverenough.



On a side note, I kinda wish I could afford a really cool western holster. Would be a waste of money since I could not really use it but those things just look so damned cool, there is such awesome craftsmanship out there. Course a new style revolver would not look right in one of those either. Nice to dream though.
