Good brands of pocket knives

I'm sure that some of you guys out there carry pocket knives, by choice or by necessity. I was just curious as to what some of your favorite brands are, and what price range they are in? I have had pretty good luck with some of my Gerbers and Kershaws, both of them were in about the $20 ranges. You guys have any other thoughts?

My girlfriend gave me a CRKT last year for my birthday. I love it, I carry it everywhere with me and it hasn't failed me yet......

I carry a kershaw. I think it's named "needs work", Love the thing though! I usually have a leatherman close by too. I own two of them, the wave and the surge.

I like the Leatherman that I have as well. It is the Wave and man does the thing come in handy when you need it. A little on the heavy side (compared to the old ones) but it does have a lot more features, and I like that ALL the tools securely lock into place.

I have a Kershaw Cyclone model, it has that flip open torsion-bar, I like it. Also have a Leatherman, those always come in handy!

Does anyone have a favorite or recommendation for an automatic knife? They are legal to purchase, but some areas make them illegal to carry. Makes for a difficult decision. I purchased a nice 5 inch model in GA years back and it's still working like a charm. I'd like to own a stilleto, opens straight from the end. I think that's the correct term. I haven't looked for a long time. If anyone has any pointers on this style of knife, I'd appreciate it if you shared your knowledge.

There's nothing quite like the original wood handled Buck Knife folder with a snap belt sheath! I carried one for years and still have it. They are a very nice knife!

I know that some people collect some really expensive folding knives, do any of you guys? All the ones I have are for work. Is there much market for collectable folding knives?
