After doing research, I special ordered a CZ 452 Ultra Lux for $415 (mid-year 2010). The rifle is wonderfully balanced. The adjustable metal front and rear sights are excellent. The 28.6" barrel was a desired feature. The bolt action is solid and smooth and generally above average for the .22 rifles in the $0-500 range. I purchased the European stock which took a little getting used to after using rifles with American style stocks. Nicely finished, a well made and highly recommended rifle.
This rifle is accurate. I'm may not be the best marksman on the block, but a marine sniper fired it at the local range recently and put 4 shots within the size of a fifty-cent piece at 100 yards using the iron sights (no scope).

Started looking for a bolt .22 for my kids, hoping to give each one soon. LGS recommends this over all others. Thanks for the review.
