I have owned a nova for 8 years now. The gun is awsome, I have probably put 5000 rounds through it now, and it shoots better then the day i bought it. If you like a shotgun you can paddle the boat with, pick up decoys, or use to beat down blackberrys this is the gun for you! I am not very nice on shotguns, they are a tool for me, once i was wading in chest deep water, the action and stock we under water, i saw some ducks come over, will never forget having water run down my jacket from the stock as i was toasting ducks! A friend of mine droped his nova in the river on accident.....it sat a the bottom for 3 days untill we could dredge it with an anchor, got the gun back, cleaned the gun up, hunted the rest of the season (no rust)!

The gun does get gummy after about 500 rounds, I usually clean it once a year, DO NOT OVER OIL! this is a common mistake people make, these guns are made to run dry, they work much better.

BEST SHOTGUN I HAVE EVER BOUGHT FOR THE MONEY (HANDS DOWN)!

@Boone08, thanks for that great commentary/review of your Benelli! I've never had the pleasure of shooting or hunting with one but I've always known them to be a quality shotgun and after your remarks, I wouldn't hesitate to put one through it's paces. Truthfully after your support of it and knowing the quality of people that comment here, I'd trust your recommendation without question and I don't do that. Thanks and welcome to the forum!
