I had one of these earlier this year. Had trouble immediately with the cylinder locking up. Hammer or trigger would not move. Release the cylinder, close, and it would be fine for a few more rounds. After taking a closer look, it was determined to be a faulty cylinder ratchet. Terrible tool marks and cracks everywhere. To confirm whether I just had a "bad apple", I checked several more models in the local shops. 3 guns out of 4 that I looked at had this flaw. Not saying Taurus puts out a bad gun but this is unacceptable. No wonder people have horror stories about their warranty turnaround, a lot is being turned in for work that should have come out of the factory ready for use. Bottom line, learn everything you can about a particular model you want and take the extra time to properly check the gun at the shop before buying. A lot of companies are pushing out junk right now so inform yourself before investing your hard earned money on something that could become a $500 paperweight.
