I recently bought a 229R with night sights and loved it. I have had the front sight changed out with a truglo tfo, much easier to acquire target. I have no complaints about this gun. Sig Rules.

By far the best gun out there! Feel, aim, reliability all top notch.

You need to look at it like this. When you need what ever you are firing to fire, you will wish you spent that extra $200.

Get one, you wont regret it!

Glocks4life....just for yuck, yucks.... try some Winchester ammo in that P229, and let me know how that works. Pro-Model Sigs ,dont like S&B ammo. Let me know how the Winchester ammo works for you. 10-1 odds, she dont jam then, or your friend needs to send that one back.....Later, Nohub

yeah, get ANY Sig, and you wont go wrong. I feel the 299r is the best looking gun they make, but every one of them are good. Arent the laws in NY tough when it comes to handguns bigsig? I think I heard something along the lines of -no concealed carry- and or you cant even have them unless going to the range... Im most likelt wrong, as that sounds like a bit much, just a question.

If you break-down the two side-by-side, you will notice the main difference is the lenght of side-rails. The P229 has shorter side-rails (about 1/4 in) front and back.Sig Pro models have larger and thicker side rails, and look more heavy duty. The main difference in break-down/clean-up, is the barrel. It takes a little patience getting the barrel back in place, however the slide-stop will pop right in. The Sig pro is the main Glock rival, but the P229 is rivaled by none. Personally i like the Hogues-grips, w/ Don Hume JIT. Hope this ifo helps you..Later , Nohub
