Not that it really matters but what year was the colt made?

Either way, my vote goes to the gold cup!

beltbuckle - he has 2. One is an 03, the other is an 07. Both listed as new.

Help me out. I want a good accurate, reliable, stainless 45 and am drawn to the 1911. I have yet to find a DA/SA 1911. What is the benefit of SA only?

Sig makes a DA/SA in their 220, but it is not the frame of a 1911.

Why SA only?

Colt quality can vary considerably. I bought a SS Gold Cup for match shooting and out of the box, it shot 5 inch groups at 25 yards. Not acceptable for a target gun. After a gunsmith replaced the crappy barrel and tuned the gun ($300 later), it shot 1 1/4 inch groups at 25 yards. It was fine thereafter. I would recommend a Kimber instead because they are good, consistent quality and shoot pretty good right out of the box.
