Yes most Hi-Points are around $ 140.00 to $170.00 depending on location. Mine was around $160.00

I really like my HP .40. I paid 145.00 out the door. If any one is thinking of buying a less expensive gun this is it. You can't ask for anything better for the price. Alot of people bad mouth Hi-Point but 95% of the people that bad mouth them never shot one. You get a full Life time warranty with the gun also The only thing I don't like is there are no aftermarket for the gun.

My first .40 and I've enjoyed it. I'm no pro, but it's worked pretty cleanly. I've got about 130 rounds thru it with a couple FTF in the first 2 boxes. None in my last few mags. This pistol is exactly what I was looking for, a great home defense weapon.

Hey S&W910 If it does break, Hi-Point will fix it free. Will you favorite gun manufacturer do the same for your broken gun?Do you own a Hi-Point or shot one?

I actually have a friend with a hi-point 45 who swears by it. I just recently found out he was into handguns and when I sorta laughed at his favorite he gave me some big schpeal about how great it is and how nice it fits him.

To each his own I guess.....

My HP-40 has never had any problems in feeding or firing. I am at the 200 round and have seen an improvement in it's accurracy . Last time out, all 50 rounds in the 6 inch circle at 7, 10, 15 and 25 yards.

Another shooter has come by the range and have shot a perfect 250 eight times in a row with his HP-45 at 15 yards. No jams or FTF. That is pretty impressive.

I too read the reviews on the JHP 45 on a few sites before Buying two 45 autos for my Sons,The first pistol I brought home and went out in the back yard and shot the first 2 clips full of 45 rounds with out any problems ,no jams,. This lead me to think that the people who called the guns crap were wrong.the following day I went in and bought the second pistol and took both to the range to zero in both firearms.

At the range with 100 round of Winchester FMJ 230 grain and 200 rounds 230 FMJ Wolf ammo ,I had at LEAST 25% jam rate (MISSFEEDS)with both firearms with both kinds of ammo. I left the range totally disappointed with the purchase of the Firearms. I have called the factory they stated to adjust the fingers on the clips ,I bought two new clips to see if different clips (smaller finger design) would help.to date nothing has helped either firearm to become a dependable gun that I could trust, At the range they were just a pain in the ass with 2 or 3 missfeeds a clip. If I could recoup half the price I paid to buy the guns (159.95 each) I would be thrilled. When they did fire I could shoot a descent group at 25 yards,but there inability to fire all the time took away from that.

Oh I was told to return them to the factory after reporting the problems the second time to the .45 HiPoint plant ,,,at my own cost.. right..try sending a Pistol thru the mail they have to be sent OVERNIGHT. in two packages, 68.00 EACH package 136.00 total kiss my ASS.

Please if Anyone is considering buying a 45HiPoint, please save your money buy a Better pistol ,for real.and if you still want to purchase one (or two) and live in St Louis area contact me,, half price of new ,,there yours,not joking at all .

P-3 i said it sounds like a Lorcin and then detailed the issues WE had with the Lorcin. Your weapon may be fine thats all well and good, and short of needing major parts fixed i am completely un-worried about sending mine back to the manufacturer, i've learned to fix my own weapons and to care for them properly but hey i just saw Captblasto's post and guess what it sounds like a Lorcin to me.

By the way Capt did you check the barrel for hash marks going side to side? that'll cause jamming so will cheap ammo like pmc don't know much about wolf if it's cheap or not just food for thought.

If you have the hash marks 600 grit car sandpaper with a lil water should fix it i had issues with my S&W jamming no matter what ammo i used till i knocked those grooves out.
