What is the recoil of the Sig compared to the G30 .45?

For what it's worth to any Glock 33 owners who have added or are contemplating adding Pearce Grip extensions to their mags, you may want to consider developing your point shooting technique, utilizing your middle finger as the trigger finger with your index finger pointing straight ahead along the side of the frame. This position raises your hand to provide a perfect two finger grip, eliminating the need for the extension, and results in a more snug fit of your palm against the backstrap, with no dead air space. I also found that with the index finger pressed against the frame I experienced better control and accuracy as well. I'm surprised Glock hasn't marketed this good sub-compact in conjunction with this old, established shooting technique.

I finally got a chance to shoot this little Glock 33 last weekend. I was truely impressed. At 21 feet I was shooting 4" groups (I'm not a great shot) and the recoil I've heard so much about, was not a problem at all. It was more cumfortable to shoot than my snubnosed 38 or 380 Sig. Even with just two fingers on the grip, I felt in control. My daughter shot it too with no complaints. I was considering getting a Pocket Glock in 9mm now I'm having to reconsider.

The ballistics on this 357Sig are very impressive.

This is a great little gun, a changed the barrel from the Sig 33 to 27 (40 Cal), so when I go to the range I can use only one type of ammo. This has claim down the recoil a great deal. If you have a chance to change the barrel it helps on the recoil and the sound. I enjoy shooting this gun a great deal.

electricman4759, I'm curious that you would sacrifice the accuracy, stopping power, and dependability of a .357 sig for a .40 cal. in a personal defense weapon because of recoil and sound. The Glock 33 was designed mainly as a small gun with a big punch for concealed carry or back-up, and not as an everyday, range gun, so it's sound and recoil (which are not that great) are not unusual for a weapon of this size and caliber. Is it possible someone sold you the wrong gun for your intended uses?

This is my choice for daily carry. 10+1, Pearce grip, Speer Gold Dot= AWESOME POWER in a little CCW. Inside pant holster- middle of back, very comfortable. Just remember to order LEFT hand holster if you're right handed and carrying this way.

I have a Glock 27 that I put a 33 barrel in for carry, but use the .40 at the range much more often because of the availability and price of the 357 ammo. I like both, but will go with the 357 for self defense any day.....

After having researched the 357sig pistols I finally went out and purchased the glock33 with pearce extension. I haven't taken it to the range yet. My only experience with glocks is my model 21 which I have shot quite a bit and love it. I'm not a sharpshooter by any means but have gotten better with practice. I bought the 33 for a ccw weapon. I'm looking forward to getting my license this year. Will post later regarding my initial 33 range experience. I'm a little apprehensive but am looking forward to firing this small but powerful pistol. I can't fairly rate the performance of the pistol yet (obviously) but from a tactile sense it is typically glock. Made like a tank.

Scoosier, the reason I changed the barrel was because I currently own a G22 (40 Cal) and it was easier to purchase ammo for one type of weapon insteed of two. This gun was purchased to be an everyday carry and I have been very pleased with it. The noise was only noticable on the indoor range. I carry this weapn in an inside waistband holster every where I go and to this day I have only pulled this weapon on the range. So to say I may have purchased the wrong weapon I would say not.

I have a glock 33. Can I put a Lone Wolf 40 caliber barrel on it?

Will the regular model 33 magazine work with 40 caliber? Thanks for any info.
