Glock 22 Reviews

I own a model 22 and really like it. Ive been a Glock exponent for quite some time now, in fact the model 22 is my 3rd Glock. I bought the model 22 after owning a Kimber Custom TLE II (.45ACP). I spent $900 on that Kimber and was told to expect malfunctions during the first 500 rounds for break in. I experienced RTFB (probably 1 in 250) with that Kimber until the day I sold it (1300 rounds). I tried all sorts of mags including Wilson Combat. That pistol just malfunctioned from time to time. I sold that Kimber and bought a Glock Model 22. For overall accuracy, reliability and durability, there may be close seconds but there are none better than a Glock.

I am using CorrosionX for guns. CorrosionX was actually designed for high-end airplane maintenance but hey were nice enough to extent the market. This stuff is perfect for Glock and can be used both to clean and lube. It is a lubricant that is superior to teflon/syn. Go look at thier website for a better sales job than I can do.

In response to the custom parts question.... I have the plug in the hand grip, a houge rubber hand grip and a stainless recoil guide rod (with a stock weight spring). I have had no probs what so ever out of this gun (3000 or so rounds and several types of ammo). I really would not mess with too much more, although I have toyed with the idea of getting a 9mm conversion barrel for cheaper target practice. Other than that, my 22C is just about perfect for the way it is.

By the way.....anybody have any experience with conversion barrels?

thanx alot..I was thinking about getting the extended mag release and I allready got the plug on the bottom... This is a really great gun. I have had it allready for over 2 weeks and shot about 400 rounds. I luv it

I have a 9MM conversion for my Glock 22. No problems at all. You do have to use 9MM magazines, otherwise you are good to go. I shoot mine a lot as 9MM is cheaper than 40 caliber. Mine is a Storm Lake barrel which provides a supported case. I also have a 357 SIG conversion that works fine as well. This enables me to shoot a variety of rounds. I replaced the Glock 22 40 cal barrel with a Storm Lake barrel to get a supported case since that seems to be the cause of problems in the stock barrel. This NM barrel also is more accurate than the stock Glock barrel.

Glocks are VERY easy to customize. I have a G35 with all the bells and whistles. Storm Lake makes an excellent aftermarket barrel. Stay away from TOPGLOCK.com, very misleading website, and EXTREAMLY rude customer service.
