Hi Butch and welcome to the forum. I'm not sure that your issue is actually a problem. I don't like the fact that it has an audible rattle, but many semi auto centerfire pistols do. Without hearing it, I can't give you an accurate impression. You see, when semi auto centerfire pistols actually "fire", the barrel locks in position as the bullet leaves the barrel. This ensures the accuracy and correct cycling of the pistol. Have you taken it out and shot it? Of course if you have any questions about the safety of your firearm, immediately stop using it, unload it and take it to a qualified gunsmith for inspection. If you can take it to the shop you purchased it at, do it. They can answer alot of questions and relieve alot of your concern.
