is it difficult to change the grips on this pistol?

It couldn't be simpler! One screw on each side and they simply pop off. No springs or anything else to worry about. Put your replacement grip back on and I use a drop of temporary loc-tite on each screw, but it's not necessary. I do it to prevent the chance the screws will vibrate loose. One thing to remember!!!! Don't over tighten the screws when you retighten them, too much and you can crack the grip.
