JD, what are you looking at? There are junk guns out there and something worthy of owning. Take some things into consideration when shopping. Make, model, outward appearance, function may be something you can try, sometimes you'll have to take the owners word for it. I would certainly ask for some kind of guarantee that it's a perfectly functioning gun too. You need to know how old it is, how many rounds put through it if possible would be nice to know. Not any different than buying a used car. If the gun is relatively new you might spend $700-800 bucks. If it's an older rifle you're gonna pay less. You have to consider whether or not it comes with extra accessories. Some of those sights and lights, scopes, etc., are expensive. So you'll have a lot to consider beforehand but it shouldn't be that big of a deal for you. You're savvy enough to figure it out!!

Shame on you JD! That was $200 you could've added to your new AR. Trust me, when you buy yours you're going to go nuts once you see all the accessories you can add to one. It's Heaven on Earth!!! LOL!

I have a Olympic Arms K3B AR and love it. I bought mine from ar15.biz it is Combat Weapons of Texas. If you want a great price on a AR-15 he is the guy to call.

He will get you all set up and have the rifle shipped to any FFL.
