KIMBER KDP

Just wondering if anyone owns or really knows anything about this gun, I stumbled upon it at the Kimber website. Also, I read many bad reviews for Kimber products, I thought Kimber was suppose to be high class. Ive got my eye on a Ultra Carry2 but I'm starting to wonder.

Well, the Kimber guns are certainly high dollar, but I think if I won a free one in a raffle I would probably just sell it and buy something else with the money.

There are a few guys at the range I frequent that shoot Kimbers and they talk about the ammo that their guns "like" and "dont like".

Now, I don't know about you, but if I can buy a Glock or an M&P that will cycle any ammo I put in it for less money than a Kimber, why would I pay more for the Kimber.

I guess i'm more of a dog person that a cat person. I don't want some finicky picky gun, I want a sidekick that is reliable and happy with anything I feed it.

Springfield seems to make damn good guns. I have a friend with an XD that malfunctions rarely to never that i know of. it's not my favorite, but it is reliable.

i have never fired any of their 1911 styles though. really cant comment intelligently about them.
