Senior Small Arms Design Engineer (Australia)



Responsibilities:

Over 5 + years experience in small arms development will equip you with the

experience required to play a key role in the development of this weapon system.



Your experience will ensure that you are able to:









Conduct and lead the design & development functions including concept development and prototyping, testing etc.



Appreciate the related considerations such as cost, durability, manufacturability.



Provide creative and ingenious solutions for life cycle development of the weapon systems with vision and professionalism.



Influence internal and external stakeholders

Manage significant project resources internally.







A seasoned professional, you have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, your project and engineering management skills have been honed in a defence weapon environment (ideally small arms). Full relocation to Australia including all visas for your self and family will be provided. A very attractive expatriate salary package over $A120,000 will be negotiated to attract the best.



Degree qualified you have ideally completed a Post graduate course in defence technology/engineering and have delivered significant projects on time, to budget and to or beyond client expectations.



This role could suit any of the following backgrounds Armaments, Ballistics, Small Arms, Army, Weapons, Land Ordnance, Light Engineering, Military, Rifles, Machine Guns, Design, Manufacturing, Development, Mechanical Design, Systems Engineering, Programme Management, Ammunition, External Ballistics, Analysis, Munitions, Weapons Systems, ADF, CAD, CAM, Metallurgy, Assault Rifles, Research and Development, R&D, ISO 9001:2000, Austyer, Colt BAE Systems, Heckler & Koch, Herstal, FN, HMG, AI, Accuracy International, Beretta, BAE / H&K, Glock, Styer and Denel, Accuracy International, Barrett, Fabrique Nationale/ FN Herstal, sniper rifle

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Others), Science & Technology or equivalent.

Required skill(s): Manufacturing, Rifle, Small Arms.

Preferred skill(s): Project Management, CAD, Armaments.

At least 6 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Applicants must be willing to work in Melbourne.

Applicants should be others citizens or hold relevant residence status.

Preferably senior managers specializing in Engineering - Mechanical or equivalent.
