Good answer. When in doubt, ask the manufacturer.

Hey CONT2, how does the recoil of your P345 compare to a 1911? Im headed out tomorrow and if I find the right deal I may pick up a new .45.

The only 1911 patterns Ive ever owned were 9mms, so I couldnt tell you. However, its not bad. The p90 seems to have more of a punch though.

agonist;

Hope you dont mind me jumping in here.

I havent fired the Ruger P345, but I have fired the Kimber Compact .45. I was kind of concerned because the grips ended about 3/4 the way into my palm... thought it was going to really make an impression in a negative way. It was as sweet and smooth as you could want. Went through a box of fifty in nothing flat, and the only impression it left was a very positive one.

I cant imagine the Ruger being that much different.

Huh?

If you mean those Home protected by Smith&Wesson type stickers I would have to recommend against them. Theyre kind of an advertisement saying Ive got guns, wait until Im not home to come and get them. IMHO

beltbuckle, Ive decided to wait until I can find a decent one in better condition. Im really wanting to find ine of those S&W 1006s but I doubt Ill find one for a reasonable price. Like I told a friend recently, My passion for a 10mm isnt as pressing as my passion for a 1911 .45.

I dont want to get some cheap crap, so I have to keep looking. Ive got a good track record with about 5 or 6 shops that have all promised me as much time as I need to get something on layaway. They usually only give 30-60 days.

That G20 is still at that shop at $579 or $549...I forget which...Ill keep you posted and thanks for asking...
