For an AR-15, I really like the Rock River Arms. They always seem to outshoot the S&W, Bushmasters and DPMS in all the reviews. Plus, here in the Atlanta area, they are usually less expensive than the others. I own a national match and a car elite and both are great.

Im contemplating an AR type also. Im fascinated with the design of the Kel tec 16C (I know its not a real AR) but I havent heard much about them.

I priced out the rock river and with all the goodies they let you choose from itll cost $4,000. I think I can pick up an armalite, bushmaster, star, colt, or wilson combat for around $2000. I think I want a heavy barrell because I plan on using it on ground hawgs at 3-500 yards.

Sig also has theyre varient that Im interested in but cant find any reveiws on it.

agonist;I also like the look of that keltech, but Im skeptical of the shell ejection system they have.

A guns got to be a lot prettier than an AR for me to spend $2000 on it. Besides, companies like Taurus are changing the market selling quality arms for what they should cost. The Taurus AR15 cant be far off. The 1911 is terrific and Im a lefty so I really appreciate not being charged $100 extra for a $.25 piece of metal to make it ambidextrous.

Beltbuckle, what is it that concerns you about the ejection system? Ive recently watched a few online videos of the SU16, it looks pretty good.
