What is the best all around handgun?

General discussion and chatter about firearms and weapons only.

My first impression is some very well crafted holsters and belts. It's obvious that he/she/they can provide a shooter, lawman or concealed carrier anything they want.

The holsters are great I wear mine every day and the belts are made to carry a gun so they are thick and 1.5" wide to hold the holster in place.

You will not be disappointed.

I have held an sR9 but I have not shot one. It seems like a decent pistol. I would like to see other calibers and a compact version.

I've been looking for 'the best all around handgun' for decades. I need a full size 45 for home & maybe Winter carry, that converts to an Ultra Lite for 98* Summer temps + changes to a 22 cal for range practice/varmints and converts to a mouse gun for those "gotta be concealed" times, etc., etc. LOL

Best 'caliber' might be more easily addressed.

If I ever found it, how to part with 5-10 different pistols?

I never looked for such a handgun and I certainly hope they never make such a thing. Because if they do I will have to come up with another reason to buy more guns.

You need to put the crackpipe down henry. Just kidding a bit. The Beretta 92 is an old design one of the first wondernines and is being replaced just about everywhere. Money here says the XD won't even be given consideration toward the next military pistol. Top seed for that will probably be an H&K.
