Crooked transaction

A feedback rating may be a good thing to display on a buyers/sellers auctions. Case in point: I bought a .25 pen gun from a "private seller" (flounderboy@tampabay.rr.com) on 2/25/07. I called the guy just after buying the gun to confirm that we were on the same page. He was in agreement, I wired the money and he promised to ship the un the next day....... So far I haven't got the gun, he won't take my calls (voicemail), no resopnse to email and again no gun.

I'm not sure if a rating would have prevented this but at least I could leave a warning for others about this crook.

Maybe hindsight is 20/20. Looking at his website name "flounderboy" might serve as a warning. He's floundering on your deal! I hate when people play games like that. Good luck...is'nt there a way you can report him?

Hi Cont,

Thx for the luck! On one hand, I may call the local PD and ask for a favor but on the other it's only $200.00. He has to live with it and I can find another pen gun. I guess it will just make the next pen gun cost a total of $200.00 more out of my pocket. (I'm sure as hell glad it wasn't a Purdy.)

Yeah, but what about the next unsuspecting 'customers' he beats out of $200 bucks? It's not just $200.00, it's thousands of dollars if this bastard thinks he can get away with it 20,30,40 more times. Call the cops!...It's probablyONE pen gun he has already sold dozens of times...

How did the seller agree to ship the pistol? If it was via USPS, you can file a complaint with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service for mail fraud.

"U.S. Postal Inspectors investigate any crime in which the U.S. Mail is used to further a scheme--whether it originated in the mail, by telephone, or on the Internet. The use of the U.S. Mail is what makes it mail fraud."
